Waikato jumps ahead in the latest global university rankings

The University of Waikato has ranked in the top 250 universities in the latest QS World University Rankings

Navitas partner university, the University of Waikato, jumped 81 places and becomes one of the top 250 universities in the 2024 QS World University Rankings. The rankings also placed the university at number one in New Zealand for research (measured by citations per faculty member), the second year in a row the university has achieved that placing.

University of Waikato College is delighted to join the University of Waikato in celebrating its remarkable achievement. This significant accomplishment is a testament to the university’s unwavering commitment and reflects the intensity, impact, and influence of its academics and staff. Students from University of Waikato College will benefit from gaining exclusive access to the best university for research in New Zealand.

This year’s QS World University Rankings also includes individual rankings in universities’ sustainability and employment outcomes. This not only demonstrates the university’s incredible performance but also shows prospective students the future support they will have from the University of Waikato.
