Game with professional footballer at ARU College
ARU College students played against Premier League footballer, Jacob Murphy.
ARU College had an unexpected turn of events during its recent 5-a-side football match. A student team established and managed by the college’s dedicated staff, Stephen Abby, Admissions Officer, and Taz Islam, College Services Officer, played against with Jacob Murphy, a professional footballer representing Newcastle United in Premier League.
The first session of the game was exciting. Students were thrilled and managed to snap photos with Jacob Murphy. The game evening was filled with intense competition. Everyone in the game had a highly positive and enjoyable experience.
With a cohort of students keen to play sports, ARU College is excited to expand its extracurricular and leisure activities further. The college strives to provide opportunities for students to engage in sports and forge new friendships. The student football team will be the first of many sports teams set up by the college. ARU College is looking forward to venturing into other sport areas in the future.
