Celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2024!

Navitas turns 30 in 2024, and we’re excited to be celebrating our milestone anniversary throughout the year.

In 1994 our founders created an innovative study model designed to ensure international students successfully transitioned to higher education in Australia by providing a ‘soft landing’. The pathway model, as it is now known, bridged the gap between countries, cultures, languages and education systems, enabling students from all over the world to achieve their academic goals.

Over the past three decades, we have taken this model across the globe and developed our partnerships with universities to help them achieve their internationalisation goals. We have also expanded into other areas of education by acquiring and growing independent higher education institutions and specialist education providers. 

To date we’ve helped transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of students across the world.

We witness for ourselves the powerful impact that higher education can have not only on the student themselves, but often on their family and wider community.

And we recognise that an international education may not be possible for every student which is why we are supporting our university partners to take their programs to the world through campuses in Singapore, Dubai, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. We are also proud to have donated more than $3 million to programs that increase access to education in disadvantaged communities around the world through the Navitas Education Trust.

It has been an exciting adventure, made possible by our pioneering spirit, talented and passionate staff, and our incredible partners. We often talk about the ‘Navitas family’ of colleagues and partners connected by a common desire to provide the best possible education experience to more students, in more places, around the world. The fact that many of our partners and our people have been with us since the beginning is testimony to our special community.

As we look ahead to the next 30 years and beyond, we are increasingly aware of the impact that our organisation has on the students we teach, the colleagues we employ and the partners and communities we serve. We are also considering our obligations as a global citizen and the role we can play in addressing some of the world’s most significant challenges: the climate crisis, modern slavery, global poverty, and inequality and justice.

But at the heart of everything we do remains an unrelenting focus on student outcomes and student experience, and we know that as long as we deliver in those areas, our future is assured.

Throughout 2024 we will be creating opportunities to recognise, thank and celebrate with the people and organisations who have helped us get to where we are today.
