Charles Sturt University Sydney opens in North Sydney
Australia’s premier regional university, Charles Sturt University, in partnership with leading global education provider Navitas, is proud to officially launch its North Sydney metropolitan campus.
Charles Sturt University Sydney, which opened its doors to the first cohort of students in February this year, will celebrate with staff, students and representatives from government, educational and cultural groups at a launch event on Monday, May 6 at its Berry Street campus.
The campus, which has attracted strong overseas and domestic interest, offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in business, accounting and IT. It has been a welcome addition to the burgeoning North Sydney commercial district, contributing to the area’s growing social and business diversity.
Navitas Group CEO, Scott Jones, said Charles Sturt’s reputation for high quality education and student services, combined with Navitas’s strong history of good governance and compliance, had proved an attractive option particularly for international students, who will have the unique opportunity to undertake a regional experience as part of their degree.
“It has been our pleasure to welcome both domestic and international students to our new metropolitan campus surrounded by a world-class business community in one of the most vibrant cities in the world,” Mr Jones said.
“Our purpose at Navitas is to transform lives through education, and we look forward to watching that transformation occur over the coming years at Charles Sturt University Sydney. Through the shared values of Navitas and Charles Sturt, students will not only develop the knowledge and skills to earn a degree to set them up for future employment and success, they will also be encouraged and empowered to have a positive impact on the world around them.”
Charles Sturt Vice-Chancellor, Professor Renée Leon, said students at Charles Sturt University Sydney enjoyed the same outstanding student experience as students at the university’s regional campuses, including access to online learning resources and other services as required.
“As Australia’s leading regional university, our commitment to our regions is unwavering and remains our core strategic priority,” she said. “Charles Sturt students studying at a metropolitan campus will receive sector-leading outcomes like our other students, including top graduate employment rates and starting salaries.”
