Griffith College student honoured as 2024 Mayor’s Student Ambassador
Meet Chauncey, a Diploma and Health Sciences student at Griffith College, who proudly represents the college and the Philippines as a 2024 Mayor’s Student Ambassador.
The Mayor’s Student Ambassador is a program designed to develop and strengthen students’ personal and professional skills. It offers students a chance to actively participate in the local community and contribute to the city of Gold Coast through unique experiences.
As an aspiring doctor, Chauncey embraces every opportunity for personal and professional growth. He expressed his excitement, saying, “I am one of 22 Mayor’s Student Ambassadors from 13 countries this year and one of two ambassadors from the Philippines. It is truly an honour to represent my country in this prestigious program. The Gold Coast is an amazing city, and I am thrilled to experience all it has to offer.”
Griffith College would also like to congratulate Dayoung Yun, a Diploma of Health Care alumna, on her successful appointment as a Student Ambassador. This year, 11 out of the 22 ambassadors have come from Griffith College/Griffith University, which is a testament to the exceptional quality of Griffith students.
