Strengthening Pathways to ANU: UCC Delivers New ELICOS Program
The University of Canberra College (UCC) is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with the Australian National University (ANU) and the University of Canberra (UC). This collaboration marks a significant milestone in education delivery in the ACT, enabling students to meet ANU’s English language requirements through a new dedicated English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program!
Under this tripartite agreement, UCC now offers a 10-week ELICOS program designed for students intending to progress to their studies at ANU. This initiative not only improves the academic landscape but also exemplifies the power of collaboration between institutions in providing streamlined and supportive pathways for international students.
This partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting international students on their journey to success, it is a unique arrangement that leverages the strengths of all three institutions, and we are thrilled to be part of this initiative.
The pilot program launched with its first cohort on November 11, 2024, with an engaging orientation day for 132 students. The day was filled with activities, insightful sessions, and a warm welcome to Canberra’s vibrant academic community. Students were introduced to the resources and support available to ensure their success in both the ELICOS program and their future studies at ANU.
This pilot will run through November 2024, April 2025, and November 2025, offering more students a clear and supported path toward their academic goals.
