FIC welcomes Yucatan International Mobility Program students
The first cohort of students from the Yucatan International Mobility Program arrived at FIC.
Fraser International College (FIC) is excited to demonstrate the commitment to inclusivity and the power of cross-cultural understanding by welcoming the first cohort of 21 students from the Yucatan International Mobility Program to Fraser International College and Simon Fraser University! FIC will greet additional 63 Yucatecan students between 17th June to 15th October in three cohorts and support them with English Language Enhancement Program. The college will continue promoting internationalization and strengthening English language skills among students with limited economic resources.
FIC’s program offers a unique and comprehensive learning experience for the prospects. Through its program, students will have the opportunity to participate in cultural trips, immersing themselves in the rich heritage and diversity of Canada and British Columbia. They will also engage in research innovation spotlights, where they can visit various research labs and centres and participate in engaging workshops. The college’s service leadership programming enables students with leadership skills and social responsibility through community service initiatives.
FIC also provides English classes to enhance students’ language proficiency and communication skills. This holistic program combines cultural enrichment, academic exploration, and personal development to provide a well-rounded experience for international students in Canada.
The collaboration between FIC and Yucatan International Mobility Program is essential and empowers students with limited economic resources by strengthening their English language skills. They will together create a learning environment that nurtures students’ growth, empowers them academically, and opens doors to a brighter future.
