Navitas 30th anniversary celebrations turn to South Asia
Navitas 30th anniversary celebrations continue across the globe this month. Last week it was the turn of South Asia to celebrate this momentous achievement. Gala events took place in Delhi and Ahmedabad and offered an opportunity for select partners from across India, Bangladesh, and Nepal, many of whom have worked with Navitas for the past three decades, to come together to reminisce and rekindle long-standing relationships.
The event was hosted by Simon Jacobs, General Manager for Navitas South and North Asia. Group CEO Scott Jones and Executive General Manager for Global Sales and Marketing Tony Cullen attended the remarkable event. Rod Jones, Founder and Chairman of the Board, and John Duncan, original Director of Marketing and Admissions at MIBT, now Deakin College, were also two special guests for the event.
While celebrating and remembering Navitas’ numerous joint achievements from the past 30 years, the events also hosted a panel discussion as Scott, Tony, Rod, and John reflected on their experiences of student recruitment in South Asia and discussed their vision of the future for both Navitas and the wider industry.
Marking the 30th anniversary, Sonya Singh, CEO of SIEC and a long-time partner of Navitas, commented, “Having worked in international education for the last 28 years, I’ve seen the inception and growth of Navitas over the last three decades and what stood out for me was the humility and the single-minded focus of the founders who wanted to create a unique brand, a brand that is fun to work in and fun to work with. It’s an organisation that values its relationships (in the) past and present, and it has created an ecosystem of respect and opportunities. Everyone wins in that ecosystem for being their own teams or their business partners. Needless to say, when everyone wins, Navitas wins. I hope I’m still around to see their growth and success in the coming decades.”
