Navitas and La Trobe University renew long-standing partnership

Global education provider Navitas and La Trobe University are delighted to announce the renewal of their strategic partnership, paving the way for Navitas to continue operational management of the La Trobe University Sydney Campus for another 10 years.

Navitas has facilitated the management of the Sydney campus since 2005, overseeing its relocation to a state-of-the-art facility in 2017. Today, La Trobe University Sydney Campus welcomes students from more than 30 countries to study foundation and diploma programs, along with a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the areas of Business and IT, with courses in Cybersecurity and Education to follow.

Navitas has a long history of working with university partners to establish and manage physical campuses in new onshore and offshore locations. Announcing the partnership renewal with La Trobe University, Navitas CEO Scott Jones said it was testament to the deep collaboration that had developed between both institutions, and a shared commitment to creating and realising new opportunities for the future.

“We are thrilled that La Trobe University has once again entrusted Navitas to help realise its strategic goal of establishing its Sydney campus as a premier destination for both domestic and international students,” Mr Jones said.

“We are proud of what has been achieved at the Sydney campus, and excited to continue supporting La Trobe University’s vision to be a resilient, future-focused institution that makes a positive difference in the lives of its students, partners and communities.”

La Trobe University Vice-Chancellor Professor Theo Farrell said he was pleased to have renewed La Trobe’s strategic partnership with Navitas and looked forward to further expanding study opportunities for students in New South Wales.

“Now is an exciting time for La Trobe in Sydney and New South Wales as we continue to expand our rich choice of career-ready offerings to both international and domestic students via a range of flexible study modes,” Professor Farrell said.

“Expanding our Sydney campus also gives us the opportunity to deepen our engagement with industry across New South Wales, offering new opportunities for both research collaboration and for student internships and placements.”

In 2021, Navitas and La Trobe University also renewed a separate 10-year contract to deliver pathway programs through an on-campus college, La Trobe College Australia, situated at La Trobe’s Melbourne campus in Bundoora.
