Navitas partners with Deakin and Lancaster Universities to launch Indonesia campus
As part of our commitment to provide more students in more parts of the world with access to quality education, Navitas is thrilled to announce an innovative partnership with Australia’s Deakin University and the UK’s Lancaster University to open a new higher education joint campus in Indonesia.
Bringing together a combined reputation for world-leading education and research, and extensive experience in international education, the Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will deliver the highest quality, affordable educational opportunities to Indonesian and international students, while also working to support the education and research priorities of the Indonesian Government. It will also advance Indonesia’s reputation as an appealing international education destination.
The Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia campus will open to students in September 2024, offering five dual degree undergraduate programs in the areas of Business and Information Technology. The dual degree programs will combine modules from undergraduate programs at both universities, enabling students to achieve two individual degree qualifications (two testamurs) in four years of study.
The Indonesia campus will be located in Bandung, West Java, which is recognised as an important and vibrant location for higher education in Indonesia. Students and teachers will be part of a thriving education community attracting diverse student cohorts from across Indonesia and globally.
Navitas will lead on operational delivery of the campus, and will support teaching and learning, marketing and recruitment, student services and student experience. We have recently launched branch campuses for Lancaster University in Germany and Edith Cowan University in Sri Lanka, and celebrated the launch of a new home for Curtin University’s Singapore campus.
Navitas CEO Scott Jones said the launch of the Indonesia campus was another key milestone in the long-standing relationships between Navitas, Deakin University and Lancaster University.
“This exciting and innovative project builds on our track record of delivering transnational education in partnership with universities around the world. It is part of our commitment to help universities reach more students in new locations through branch campuses that deliver exceptional student experiences and academic outcomes,” he said.
“This is an exciting time for higher education in Indonesia and represents what is possible when world-class education providers work together to respond to the global needs, challenges and demands of students, industries and governments.”
