Pathway to Applied Computer Science at The Hague Pathway College

The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) is proud to announce the launch of a new Bachelor’s degree: BSc Applied Computer Science. This programme addresses the growing demand for skilled IT professionals, particularly in the microchip sector, as Project Beethoven (a significant urban development initiative in the Netherlands, specifically in The Hague, aiming to enhance the city’s economic vitality, improve public spaces, and promote sustainable living and working environments) demonstrates that 38,000 specialists will be needed by 2030.

About the programme

BSc Applied Computer Science will be taught at the THUAS building, located at the campus of TU Delft. The Delft region plays a pivotal role in the national plan to invest €2.5 billion in IT and microchip infrastructure, supporting major Dutch companies such as ASML and NXP. Students will benefit from practical and hands-on learning in an inspiring environment.

Study towards the programme

The journey begins with a foundation year at The Hague Pathway College (THPC) followed by the 3-year BSc Applied Computer Science. Students can specialise in Software Engineering & Embedded Systems or Cyber and Information Security. The programme equips graduates with the skills and opportunities needed for top internships (mandatory during studies) and careers in IT.
