University of Waikato College adds new intake for Pre-Masters (DipPP)
University of Waikato College is thrilled to share the exciting news that its applications for a new February intake of renowned Diploma in Postgraduate Preparation – Pre Masters (DipPP) in 2025 are open now. With a strong demand, this fantastic opportunity offers students a transformative educational journey and pathway to postgraduate study at the University of Waikato.
About the DipPP
The Pre-Masters (DipPP) is a steppingstone to postgraduate studies at the University of Waikato. It prepares students who already have a tertiary qualification, but who do not meet the academic entry criteria for direct entry to a master’s program.
Students who join the DipPP program will enhance their English language, academic literacies, and both personal and professional skills they need towards postgraduate studies at the University of Waikato.
Admission requirements for DipPP
Academic requirements:
- equivalent to a New Zealand Level 6 Diploma
- at least two years of tertiary study overseas or equivalent
- for example, an associate degree, advanced diploma, higher national diploma, or bachelor’s degree
English requirements:
IELTS 6.0 overall with no band lower than 5.5 or equivalent
Program starts dates
- February: A trimester (new intake from 2025)
- July: B trimester
- November: C trimester
