Drawing on extensive post-pandemic research conducted by academics, organisations and governments, and supplemented with Navitas’ own research with agents, educators and sector leaders, our report explores: 

  • Learning loss and academic underachievement caused by the pandemic 
  • Decreasing student engagement and shifting attitudes to learning  
  • Impacts on mental health and wellbeing  

It concludes that learning institutions need to effectively respond to pandemic learning loss in order to support student success, but also to increase their competitive advantage.

Jon Chew

Chief Insights Officer, Navitas

Jon Chew is one of world’s leading market analysts in international education. He was previously a Principal at Australian management consulting firm, the Nous Group, and is now Chief Insights Officer at Navitas. Jon brings in-depth expertise on global trends in education, built on the rigorous analysis of a wide range of external and in-house datasets. His work is informed by an up-to-the-minute industry perspective, developed collaboratively with a global network of stakeholders, policy-makers and experts.

Srini Manchikanti

Market Insights Lead, Navitas

Srini is the Market Insight Lead for Navitas where he is responsible for analysing market trends and distilling insights for key stakeholders inside and outside the organisation. Prior to his role at Navitas, Srini spent over a decade working across the education and analytics sector, starting his career as a teacher through the Teach For Australia program, working across the education practice at the Nous Group, and working at a social finance organisation focused on education charities.

Janhvi Doshi

Market Insights Lead, Navitas

Janhvi is Market Insights Lead and part of the Strategic Insights and
Analytics team at Navitas. Janhvi builds data assets that support data-driven decision making within the organization. In her role, she produces reports for colleagues drawing on Navitas’ advanced data infrastructure and spends much time poring over numbers in pursuit of interesting insights. Janhvi was previously part of EY-Parthenon’s global education practice.
